Book of Acts

      2026 Spring Intensive Course

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Living on Mission – The Book of Acts

In the Book of Acts, Luke records both a sequel to the Book of Luke and a compelling narrative of the early Church.  He reveals how God ignited the movement we now know as His church from its humble beginnings in Jerusalem, its development and expansion after the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the fierce opposition it faced, and its rapid expansion through the cities of the Roman Empire and beyond.

This book, more than any other in the New Testament, provides us a clear picture of how the early church made disciples in obedience to the commands of Christ and multiplied churches to advance the Kingdom of Christ.

In this class, we will receive fresh inspiration on how we can join God in advancing His mission today.  Set aside your traditions, comforts, preferences, and programs to follow the example of the early church as they beheld the glory of Jesus Christ, relied upon the Holy Spirit, and proclaimed the Gospel of the Kingdom.

About the Class : Professor Ty Tamasaka from Pacific Rim Christian University in Hawaii will come to Japan to teach the entire Book of Acts over one week.

This intensive lecture will be conducted with consecutive interpretation from English to Japanese.
